The Great Backyard Bird Count is this weekend. (Feb. 14-17).
The Cornell Lab of Ornithology reports that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is moving ahead with plans to weaken protections for migratory birds, in accordance with a 2017 reinterpretation of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act by the Trump Administration.
