The Land Trust for Tennessee is excited to announce the protection of Tunnel Hill - 411 acres just west of Sewanee in Franklin County. This forested property was the last remaining unprotected, private tract separating Hawkins Cove State Natural Area and Bear Hollow Wildlife Management Area.
From the Tunnel Hill tract, the CSX Railroad can be seen passing through part of the Bear Hollow Wildlife Management Area as it approaches the south entrance of the Cowan Tunnel.
